Mindful Meditation
- 1 hr1 hour
Service Description
Feeling stressed as we emerge from isolation into a new post-Covid reality? Want to learn about mindful meditation in a beautiful natural setting? We will be offering 4 sessions of hour-long classes Sunday afternoons in May from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sessions will be led by Kathleen Foster, a certified meditation teacher with over 18 years of meditation practice. In addition to learning basic techniques, we will review the well-documented medical evidence that meditation practice reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, and actually slows the aging process. No special cushions, incense, sitting cross-legged, or new age music required! Attend one class or all four, free, with donations to Hoffler Creek welcome. Classes will be held outdoors. In case of rain, classes will take place under the Pavilion. Participants must be 10 years or older. Space is limited, so advance registration is required. Please check-in at the Visitor's Center upon arrival. From there, you will walk a short distance to the class location with Kathleen. If you need assistance getting from the Visitor's Center to the class location, please let us know, and we will make accommodations. What to bring: - Face mask - Water
