Interested in birding but not quite sure where to start? Celebrate Go Birding Day at HCWP with this introductory course, led by Dr. Shawn Dash, that will cover all of the basics. Develop a better understanding of how to use a field guide, where to find birds, how to start watching them, and some tips for identification. The trails of Hoffler Creek, where over 200 species of birds have been found, offer the perfect environment to put your newfound skills to the test.
 
Please arrive by 10:00 am and check in at the Visitor Center. Plan to spend at least 1 hour learning the ins and outs needed for successful birding.
