LnT at hoffler creek

You've found an egret sign! This scavenger hunt is designed to help you discover the seven Leave No Trace Principles. Learn more below about how this principle helps protect the wildlife and habitat here at Hoffler Creek.

Principle 5: Minimize Campfire Impacts

No fires or smoking

To protect our wildlife and visitors, burning of any kind is strictly prohibited at Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve.

  • No Campfires: Fires cause lasting damage to the environment and pose a high risk to the Preserve.

  • No Smoking: This includes all areas within the Preserve to prevent fire hazards and litter.

Camping Elsewhere?

While we don't allow fires here, building a responsible campfire is a vital skill for other parks. Learn how to minimize your impact at the link below.
